|DAY 1||Yangon – Bago – Golden Rock||[-/-/-]|
Our guide and car will pick up your hotel at 08:00AM and drive to Bago. On the way,we’ll stop in Htaukkyan township to visit the Allied War Cemetery which is a cemetery for Allied soldiers of the British Commonwealth who died in battle in Burma (Myanmar) during the Second World War. After that we will keep going to Bago where is formely known as Pegu, Bago was the capital of the Mon Kingdom in lower Myanmar in the 16th Century. It is about 80 km north east of Yangon and 2-hour drive by car. Sightseeing in Bago includes the elegant 55-meter long reclining Buddha Shwethalyaung Payer and Mon Style stupa of Shwemawdaw Pagoda. Drive to Golden Rock Pagoda. You will arrive at Kimpun base camp and be driven-up by open truck (~ ½ hr) to the camp of Yathe Hill and ride cable till to mountain. When we arrive, we will walk up to the Golden Rock pagoda by passing local snacks sellers – take this chance to snap some colorful photos. We will walk around the Golden Rock pagoda and enjoy the stunning scenery awaiting us at the top. Overnight stay in Golden Rock.

The Golden Rock Pagoda is a huge boulder covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff, it is one of Myanmar’s main pilgrimage sites. The pagoda here is said to hold a hair of the Buddha and Buddhist from across the country come here to pay homage. Today full day sightseeing to Golden Rock Pagoda and around places. Enjoy the panoramic 360-degree views of the surrounding Mon State Mountains from the summit and take some wonderful photos. Overnight stay in Golden Rock.
|DAY 3||Golden Rock – Bago – Yangon||[B/-/-]|
In the morning, trek down to Kimpun Base Camp by open truck then drive back to Yangon. On the way visit to the well-restored former palace, Kambozathadi, which was the marvel of Asia when it was originally built in the 16th century. Check in at hotel.
